ALL STAR!!

Well…Tonight’s All Star Game was an exciting one… It started out not so good for the Homer team, the first inning ended at 11 to 1 Kodiak. But the Homer girl’s picked up the pace and played some real strategic ball. At the bottom of 4th inning the score was 13 to 9* Kodiak winning… then they called the game on account of the downpour. RAIN and lots of it!! They will pick the game up again tomorrow at 11am...I hope it doesn’t rain.

Ihave some bad news for my girls that are out of town….we now only have one frog…I hope he/she lives…if not… I can see a trip to the pet shop when they get home.

*I believe these are the scores but even blond bear doesn’t remember exactly.

  1. Wow, that must have been a long first inning for our defense but a great come back, hopefully they will have a full recovery today. If you think that I am going to deliever the bad news to the girls that you and the Plumma killed all their frogs, it is not going to happen on my watch! You killed - you deleiver the bad news. They willnot believe you that they died a naturtal death, just yesterday I told them that the Plumma had butchered them and the two of you had a fine dinner of "frog legs" Al Freido served on a bed a angel hair pasta. It is up to you to un-convince them that they died a natural death! The good thing, is that the AP frogs have also expired and now buried under a bed of grass on the Anchor River. I bet you guys flushed theirs! It will be difficult to convince them that you guys are not "frog killers". I can seea protest on yur front lawn in the near future, all the neighborhood kids will gather under the organizational skills of your daughters with big posters, "Our Parents Are Frog Killers", this could also be brought to the attention of PETA. I would suggest you go to the pet store now and get some replacements or I am going to spill my guts five minutes before we get to your house!

  2. By the way, I got all four kids to sit down with me last night to watch "Second Hand Lion", with my narration they all stayed focus and we even watched the alternate ending concluding with "warm hot coco" for everyone!

  3. Yes we are frog killers....I was kinda hoping you would break the news...BUT we still have one. Blonde Bear went to the pet store the other day here in LA... They told her it was illigal to have them...because they are Indiginous... Enough spelling errors here?

  5. You have not seen "Second Hand Lion"! You missed one of hte best movies in 2006, it stars Robert Duvall and if you do not laugh, you have no sense of humor. I am sure you can associate them with peole that you know. A great movie, worth watching every 45 days, get it on DVD so you can see the alternate ending. Had a great cook out tonight, Root Bear Floats were a hit, enough that we consumed a half gallon of Very Vanila Ice Cream! Girtls are staying wiuth Heather tonight, Hunter is with us. They wanted to stay down there because tomorrow is their Grand Opening of their new business and wanted to make sure they were there in time to get everything set up before the crowds started gathering. They should do well especially with their outgoing personalities. Send me the scores of tonights game!

  6. P.S. We really enjoyed the HITWRA cook out tonight, after everyone left, I finished consuming the remainder of a full pot of fresh ground coffee by myself, enjoyed the fire and contemplated. Sunny sky and everything has dried up. It was especially nice because I know that it was raining in Anchorage. I think I am going to buy my own coffee pot and do that more often, it is very relaxing when you do not have to worry about someone sneaking a firecracker into the firepit! Life in the country is so boring but I can only try to make the best of it.

  9. My aunt Karen has a stationary bike and we didn't have any room to carry it down with us, so my mom was wondering if you guys could bring it down next time you come to homer.
