Adopting Illusions

Discussing the trials of raising preteen girls, with a friend, she replies.... "Lord help me, are these girls 18 yet so all I have to worry about is where we are going to go for lunch?". I think I will adopt this illusion.

  1. It is only an "illusion", parenting is a long term contract, ever hear the term,"womb to the tomb" it can be applied equally to parenting the only thing it gets to be fun with time, however, then you have "grand parenting" which is even a larger challenge. Scratch any "lunch" plans!

  4. Thats what I mean ...someday maybe in my own "illusionary" world I would like to think that there will be a day that when it concerns my girls I will only have to worry about when our (me and my girls) next lunch date will be.

  5. I just had an illusions, then I stepped outside to go for a walk with the dogs - it was no illusin! To make sure I checked my reliable doppler radar site - it is ugly throughout he Cook Inlet area. Have about 5 inches on the ground, expecting more. It is no illusion, we have got plowable snow! Hopefully the old reliable plow truck will start! Some "spring news on HITW.
