I would like you all to know that we have just now finished digging the rest of the beach gravel out from under the bed liner of the Pretty White Chevy. Do you know how much gravel a short bed Chevy can haul??? A
The Moose – This is the winner of the Beatification Award…Do you see what we ( the Wolf Pack) have done so that they could win the award this year?
This is the Krok Pond - if you notice there is quiet a zoo around here … with Man eating Krok’s and Crain’s, (not shown…Dragons, Cats, Dogs, Snakes, Donkeys, and Babies.) With the help from a Moose calf the wolves were able to complete quite a landscape for the moose to enjoy.
With creating all of this I would have to say we did not have time to spend on our own site... But I do expect you all to make up for it ….I would like a few loads of gravel hauled in to level out our parking pad. I would also like a “Crib” to be constructed so that my camper has a place to rest for the winter. Also, you must not forget the “No parking on the Foliage” sign, for my flower bed….
I do believe though that the awards should not go to the moose but the Beatification Award should go to the builder of the “Duck House”!! This is the multipurpose room that the Prattler was building all spring. We use this building more then any other in camp… it acts like a Museum, Library, Game Room, Little Girl Club House (funny how we can’t get them to use any other outhouse), and a POOP House (notice it is handicap accessible). This was a true blessing … its hard to poop in the woods when the leaves have not yet bloomed.
Maybe next year JD can plant a Toilet Paper Tree….
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" There is time, the Chamber of Commerce does not look for the beautification nominees until August when the floral and fauna is at the peak. You still have time to complete your work and remain in the competition. From your picture of the Krok Pond, this area is now a raised sand bed with pond and raised flower beds. However, there is a sleeper in the bushes. The "duck House" although very deserving is not yet complete! The "sleeper" candidate has evolved after watching the Wolf Clan and Buffalo Clan make an attempt at smoking fish. A new "miniture" "Duck House" will be completed today and has the potential production ability of producing 775 lbs of smoked salmon every 24 hours of the curing of 560 skeins of salmon eggs, smoking the hind quarter of a Moose, or three Buffalo rump roasts, one half of a medium size Bear and since no one will eat a Wolf, they will have to surfice with knawing on the bones. As a side bar, the Old Wise Eagle took Daddy Bear under his wing and had a quick refresher course on how to fish. I bet you cannot guess who caught the largest fish? Bet, you cannot guess who had to carry their own fish back to the car - no respect or gratitude!
ReplyDeletelandscaping??? It will take me forever to fill the rutts you left behind in your attempts to back hoe my area flat...I will say my husband spent quite a bit of time levelling the land so I will not have to prop up what ever is left of my burt out trailor, with a three foot round and several "flat boards". as for land scaping IF you had not killed my little plants and my tree with that blade of yours I would at least have "live" plants in my garden!!!
ReplyDeleteDid anyone notice, while sitting on the throne that the "little building out back" has a slight starboard list. It shows up in photos but I know it was level when it was delivered. Perhaps, we can level it during our next working party.
ReplyDeleteLovely! The wolf clan should get most improved lot next year:)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having fun!
