The story around the hood goes... This Mama moose dropped two calves, in the neighbors yard (the BIG HOUSE) while we were away at the Hole in The Wall. One of the calves was stillborn and mama hung out for a few days protecting it. The neighbor called the Troopers and Fish and Game for them to come take care of the body of the calf. He was told they would only come out if the moose was alive and causing problems, a dead moose was his problem. So he bagged it and left it out front for the garbage man. Here's his question... a silencer? Fresh meat? really it just died there.

To bad about the little moose, I wonder why there is a wolf and bear problem in Anchorage, could it be because Fish and Game will dead calves? Had a mama and baby bed down on our lawn the another night, a long story but did get some good shots. Loved your sketch on your earlier blog, neat program. Lots of stories from this weekend to tell, fishing still slow but was able to re-cycle an earlier King Salmon, at least the head, you should be recieving it in the mail within the next day or so. Starting to exceed it's shelf life so you may want to cook it up real soon.
