That is the most consistent memory I have of Shane. He would always pull his shoes off and one sock, or sometimes both, were half ways off his feet! I remember wondering how he wore his shoes with his socks all bunched up!
We were in Oak Harbor, and went to play ball at a field somewhere, it seemed a ways from home. We were late and he was pushing me, to hurry up. I had just learned how to tell which shoe to put on which foot. I sat boggled, wondering if socks went on the same way, hey don't have the curve to them. After he clued me in... I remember him saying... ..."now put your shoes on and quit whining."
the innocent wisdom of youth.
